Porter is one of the oldest beer styles in the world, born in 18th century London and beloved by market porters and dockworkers who needed something hearty to fuel a long shift. Dark, rich, and deeply flavoured, Porters are brewed with dark malted barley to produce flavours of chocolate, coffee, toffee, and dark fruit — but they're typically lighter-bodied than a stout, making them more sessionable than you might expect.
