Drink in to Help Out

The hospitality sector took a massive hit during 2020 as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.  Pubs, restaurants and bars were forced to shut their doors for many, many months.  The knock on effect was that many craft breweries were unable to sell their product in the volumes required to make their business viable, and as such many businesses were forced to limp on, or even turn off their mash tuns permanently!

When lockdown 3.0 was announced in January 2021 we knew that this would once again be the death knell to many independent breweries.  This spurred us on to launch our 'Drink in to Help Out' initiative.

Being a small family run business, we weren't in a position to buy up large quantities of stock; we just didn't have the capital.  But this is exactly what producers needed; their beer to sell!

So we came up with the idea of opening up our storefront to independent breweries as a new sales channel.  We would host their products for free, and pass on all proceeds from the sales directly to the breweries.
